Privacy Policy

Data we collect

Affirm works without a user account. We don't collect your name, email, or phone number. Your preferences (chosen categories, notification times, theme) are stored locally on your device.

Purchases and subscriptions

In-app purchases are processed by Apple and RevenueCat handles subscription management. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier tied to your purchase, but no personal data. See their policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Usage analytics (Mixpanel)

To improve the app, we use Mixpanel to measure pseudonymized usage events: app opens, onboarding steps, selected categories, interactions with affirmations. No personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number) is sent to Mixpanel. A locally generated pseudonymous identifier lets us distinguish sessions without identifying you. Data is stored on Mixpanel's European servers (Frankfurt, Germany) in compliance with GDPR. Mixpanel does not use your data for cross-app advertising tracking. Learn more: mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy. To opt out, contact us at contact@affirm.app.

Notifications

Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. Nothing is sent to our servers. You can turn them off at any time in iOS settings.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, object to, and delete your data. Since the usage data collected by Mixpanel is pseudonymous, you can request its deletion by emailing contact@affirm.app — we will delete your Mixpanel profile within 30 days. For everything else, uninstalling the app removes all your locally stored data on your device.
